How it works

We’ll start with an initial chat to get to know each other, your business, and your goals for the project. I will the put together a personalised proposal outlining the project scope, responsibilities, timeline, payment plan and start date. If you’re happy to move forward, I’ll send over your contract and deposit invoice. Once those are confirmed, you’ll receive my detailed strategy questionnaire to prepare ahead of our upcoming strategy call.

During our strategy call we’ll take a deep dive into your business to clearly understanding your brand, competitors, current website (if you have one), and identifying any gaps or opportunities. From there, we’ll map out the direction for your new website, making sure we’re aligned and set up for a smooth, strategic project from the start.

Before the project begins, you’ll get access to your personalised Client Portal. This is where you can start uploading everything I’ll need, inlcluding, your brand assets, website copy, product information, and any images you’d like featured.
The portal will act as our central hub throughout the project, with helpful resources, upcoming tasks, and clear guidance to support you at every stage.

I’ll start by creating your homepage and share it with you for initial feedback. Once the homepage is approved, I’ll move into full development, building out the rest of your site. Throughout the project we will be in regular, open communication where you will have the opportunity to provide feedback. Once the full site development is complete it will be thoroughly tested to ensure a smooth customer experience.

After final revisions, your website will be ready to go live! We’ll jump on a call to do one last walkthrough together, where I can answer any final questions before launch.
You’ll receive full access to your new site, along with personalised video tutorials, helpful instructions, and one month of email support so that you can get comfortable using, managing and updating your own site moving forward.

How long will the project take?
Projects range from 6-12 weeks from contract signing to launch. This depends on your requirements, the level of customisation and how quickly you provide feedback. I’ll give you a clear timeline in your proposal.
What is not included in this project?
- Branding or Logo design
- Copywriting or copyediting including website content, product descriptions and customer notifications
- Imagery (I can guide you on what works best)
- Terms of service, privacy policy, cookies, terms & conditions or any legal policy needed for your business or website
- Domain & hosting fees
- Shopify subscription fees
- Shopify premium theme
- Web fonts license – If you have a specific font used in your branding you may require a web font licence. Your original brand designer should be able to advise on this
Don’t worry – I’ll guide you through what you need and when, and can recommend trusted partners for anything outside my scope.
Do I need to have my content ready before we start?
Yes please, I will need your content and imagery for all pages before your project start date. Having your copy and images ready means I can build a website that properly represents your brand and messaging.
If you plan to work with a copywriter, SEO expert or photographer for your website content it’s important to keep the timelines of these services in mind before we start on our project together. I do not write content or source images as part of my service.
Is SEO included?
Basic on-page SEO is included in all packages. This includes page titles, meta descriptions, alt tags and site structure.
What is the revision process?
All website packages include up to three rounds of refinements.
How much will I be involved in the project?
This is a collaborative process and your valuable input is key to the success of the project – at the end of the day it’s your website for your business. I want to make sure that you not only love your site but your target audience love it too!
Before the project starts, I will send you a strategy questionnaire – this needs no be filled out with as much detail as possible. This will be the starting point of our kickoff call.
During the project we will stay in regular contact via email, your client portal or WhatsApp to discuss the site, features and any feedback you have.
Where possible, I would recommend scheduling your project during quieter periods within your business so that you can dedicate some time to the project and enjoy the process.

What are your payment terms?
A 50% non-refundable deposit is required to reserve your booking slot, with the remaining 50% due before website launch.
Can I add extra features/pages after we've started?
We will work from the agreed scope outlined in your contract. Any extra pages or features requested after we’ve started will incur an additional charge, which we can discuss and quote for separately.
Do you work with businesses outside the UK?
Absolutely! My process is designed to be smooth no matter where you are based. I am lucky enough to have had clients all over the world.
How can I prepare for the project?
Once we have scheduled our project start date I will send you the Client Portal which will guide you through what to prepare and when. A rough guide would be:
- Strategy Questionnaire to be completed before our kickoff call
- Logo, Content, Imagery + any brand assets to be provided before our project start date
- Schedule time into your diary for website reviews + feedback – dates will be provided in portal
Can you do a custom quote?

Does it matter if my current website is on another platform?
Not at all! If your current site is hosted on a different platform I will build your website from scratch on either Shopify or WordPress depending on your chosen package. Your current website will stay live until we are ready to switch over and launch your new website. I can handle all of the tech side of things to ensure you have a smooth migration.
Are there any extra costs involved in launching a website?
Yes, depending on your platform and your requirements there may be extra costs involved in launching your website. These may include:

I am Not tech Savy. Will I be able to manage?
Throughout the project we will be working within your Client Portal where you will find helpful instructions, templates and guidelines to help you navigate each task.
I will be available to contact at any time over email or WhatsApp if you get stuck or need to ask a quick question.
At the end of the project we will run through your site together where I can answer any final questions you have about the site.
You will also get access to video tutorials and 1 month email support to make sure you feel confident in managing your site moving forward.
If you still need a hand or simply don’t have the time to learn, I offer ongoing support options.
What if I need changes after the website is live?
Once the website is live you will have full access to update and edit as you need.
You (and your team) will receive video tutorials on how to use and update your site and I will be available on email support for the first month for any additional questions. Please keep in mind that any fixes you may need due to mistakes may incur a charge.
